2025 was a year of powerful expansion, deep collaboration, and meaningful innovation for Calling Up Justice. Throughout the year, we built and inhabited digital and physical spaces that held our communities with care, produced bold and interdisciplinary artistic work, advanced disability justice, supported national movement spaces, and strengthened the future of our practice through sustainable fundraising and internal leadership development.
Across Zoom, GatherTown, virtual reality platforms, Discord, livestream environments, and in-person gatherings throughout the United States, Calling Up Justice continued weaving ecosystems where justice producers, disabled communities, artists, technologists, and movement partners could connect, rest, collaborate, and grow power together. We generated new art, new games, new writing, and new ways of being in community, while securing over $250,000 in foundation support and producing an epic 24-hour “Money Please” livestream that functioned as both a fundraiser and a public act of economic justice.
