Rosemary reached out to Calling Up Justice and connected with the DJ1 group, which includes Calling Up Justice, One Free Community, and Disability Justice Culture Club to support their work. Joining a crip resilience hub offers the opportunity to tap into the resources and build capacity within the disability community to help us build a world where we thrive. We are providing our resources and skills to support this community driven organizing and getting the word out to our local communities to support this effort.

The first event included food donations and shared disruption of resources among our community members after the removal of existing food benefits. Rosemary and their friends and community sent messages in group chats and hung up flyers around their neighborhood to collect donations and redistribute food, clothes, art, covid supplies, and other essential resources to support the community in need. They want to keep this going and began reaching out to local organizations to get help in continuing to organize this work.
Next Event April 25
The next event is focused on redistributing medical devices across our community spaces.
April 25th 2026 from 1-5pm in Berkeley!
Don’t miss our second mutual aid swap: Medical Equipment Edition!
📣We’re back!!! After a hugely successful first mutual aid swap, we are finally ready to host our second swap.
This time we’re asking for medical supplies, equipment and food donations! We know that cuts to Medicaid are impending and it’s expensive as fuck to be alive right now. We know many disabled people have a surplus of medical supplies in their garage/closet/storage unit. We want to help distribute it to folks in our neighborhood who need it!
Come by from 1-5pm on Saturday, April 25th on the corner of Rose and Sacramento St. in Berkeley.
