Voices on the Ground - Calling Up Justice!

Voices on the Ground

Voices on the Ground is an offshoot of Virtual Protesting, where we hear from people who are in or from the countries experiencing ongoing genocides.  At these live streams, guest speakers on the ground share firsthand accounts of their experiences, families, and struggles in countries affected by ongoing genocides. In this one-hour discussion, we can gain insight into the realities faced by those on the front lines while supporting fundraising efforts for much-needed aid and support.

Our anti-genocide protest space provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn about pressing issues, and participate in movement work that seeks to bring about positive change. We recognize that we are all pieces of a whole, and that together we can amplify our voices and work towards liberation for all marginalized people.

Calling Up Justice is working in collaboration with One Free Community (OFC) to help produce and live stream these events. OFC is a BIPOC lead, decolonization-focused advocacy organization and community-first project. OFC’s efforts are assembled in diverse, self-organizing teams operating in a decentralized fashion, allowing members to contribute based on their available energy and individual circumstances.
