Access Hold at Calling Up Justice - Calling Up Justice!

Access Hold at Calling Up Justice

At Calling Up Justice, we prioritize accessibility and inclusivity in all our meetings. To achieve this, we employ a unique practice called the “Access Hold.” The Access Hold is a proactive and immediate solution designed to address access issues on the spot, ensuring that every participant can fully engage in our meetings.

What is the Access Hold?

The Access Hold is an integral part of our commitment to inclusivity. Anyone participating in our meetings can initiate an Access Hold by raising a concern about accessibility issues they encounter. Whether it’s the need for captions, adjustments to sound levels, or the creation of a breakout room for one-on-one assistance with a tool, we’re here to help.

How it Works:

  1. Initiating the Access Hold: Any participant who encounters an access issue can call for an Access Hold. This is an open invitation for anyone to voice their concerns and ensure that their specific needs are met. Sometimes you will have a meeting facilitator who is empowered to lead access holds and access negotiations.
  2. Pausing the Meeting: Once an Access Hold is called, the meeting is promptly paused to address the issue. This pause allows us to prioritize resolving the access issue and maintaining an inclusive environment.
  3. Resolution: Our team will work diligently to resolve the issue at hand. Whether it’s enabling captions, adjusting sound levels, or assisting with any other accessibility requirement, we aim to address the concern to the satisfaction of the participant.
  4. Delayed Resolution: In some cases, resolving an issue may take longer than a brief pause allows. In such instances, we will make arrangements for a delayed resolution, ensuring that every participant’s needs are met, even if it takes a little more time.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity:

At Calling Up Justice, inclusivity is at the core of our mission. The Access Hold is just one example of how we put this commitment into practice. We encourage all participants to use this feature whenever they encounter an accessibility challenge, as we believe that every voice deserves to be heard, and every participant deserves equal access to our meetings.
