Stimpunks and Accessible Virtual Pride - Calling Up Justice!

Stimpunks and Accessible Virtual Pride

We’re excited to share a heartfelt reflection from StimPunks Foundation on our Accessible Virtual Pride! StimPunks, an amazing organization dedicated to mutual aid and human-centered learning for neurodivergent and disabled people, not only attended our event but also generously donated $100 to support our programming.

Founded in December 2021, StimPunks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built by and for neurodivergent and disabled people. Their mission is rooted in survival and inclusion, and they have become a vital part of the disability justice community. With a team of members from diverse neurodivergent and disabled backgrounds, they understand the barriers we face and work tirelessly to create a world that includes everyone—especially those at the edges of society.

In their reflection post, “What We Learned About Virtual Conferences at Virtual Pride,” StimPunks highlighted the fun and accessibility of our event. They praised the inclusive elements of our programming and the platforms we used to connect digitally, making it easy for people to participate, no matter their needs or abilities. Their feedback reaffirmed our commitment to making pride accessible for all.

At Calling Up Justice, we believe in the power of accessibility to bring people together, and this connection with StimPunks is a perfect example of how collaboration strengthens our communities. Their reflection also underscores the importance of designing for the edges—an approach both our organizations hold close. We know that when we create spaces with disabled and neurodivergent people in mind, we foster true inclusion, creativity, and connection.

We’re grateful for StimPunks’ support and look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside them. Here’s to many more accessible, joyful events that center our communities and celebrate our identities!
