2026 Reclaim MLK Radical Legacy Weeks of Action

Accessible Audiencing & Hybrid Community Support

Calling Up Justice x Reclaim MLK Weeks of Action (January 2026)

Calling Up Justice is honored to support the 12th Annual Reclaim MLK Weeks of Action, working alongside the Anti Police-Terror Project to ensure these powerful gatherings are accessible, connected, and rooted in Disability Justice.

Our role centers on accessible audiencing, hybrid participation, and care infrastructure—so community members can show up in the ways that work best for their bodies, access needs, and capacity. We attended planning meetings, advised on digital producing and ASL, created a digital replication of the staging grounds, donated masks, and will be hosting digital space.

Digital Encampment Access for the MLK March

On Monday, January 19, Calling Up Justice will host inside our Digital Encampment during the Reclaim MLK March.

Our digital gathering space offers:

  • A shared virtual environment to witness together
  • Space for rest, reflection, and conversation
  • Access-centered design for disabled, immunocompromised, and remote community members

We have created a digital Oscar Grant Plaza at the request and great suggestion of APTP volunteers and workers. We will be gathering at 12:30 PST in this digital space. You can visit it out at anytime.

Mask Donations for the Reclaim MLK Concert

For Reclaim MLK: A Concert Fundraiser for APTP on January 23, 2026 (7–9 PM), Calling Up Justice is providing mask donations to support collective care at the event.

As the concert brings Oakland together for a night of music, resistance, and fundraising—hosted by Cat Brooks and featuring movement musicians—masking is part of how we protect one another and keep our community strong.
