Doing a training and getting hit with grammar argument against singular use of “they”. Its not new, it’s not hard, we do it all the time. Also it’s grammatically correct. Also we make up the rules of grammar and change them when they stop working for us. pic.twitter.com/KXv6nMuoSo

Sometimes people will react with resistance to using THEY to indicate a singular person because they feel it is grammatically “incorrect”. We haven’t made our video resource on this yet but have been sharing this visual resource to inform our conversations. In a nutshell it IS grammatically correct and also more accurate way to avoid misgendering folks.
