Artistic and Process Statement: Claudia Alick’s “Funky Girl” was inspired by a tiktok artist named Fungkiigrrl’s video where she edited herself dancing with cool visuals. Claudia got her permission to create an animation inspired by her. Claudia screencapped selected key frames from a variety of videos where she was wearing the same outfit. She painstakingly edited the tiktok imagery out by hand and added a few more artistic elements. She then fed theses images through an AI generator to produce a variety of images. She edited this into an animation to the original musical track used in the inspiring video, Everybody Loves The Sunshine – Netsky & Babl Lemmens

First, I took a screen cap of the video and then I edited out all of the TikTok visual noise and then I did that with several of their videos and then I took those images and it combined them with each other. Then I fed those through an AI generator, and then I edited it all together in a video editor.
