Disability Justice Is Beloved Community 2026

Disability Justice Is Beloved Community 2026

A Covid Conscious Gathering (In Person & Zoom)
Third Annual Event | Produced with Love by Disability Justice Culture Club and others

Last year’s Disability Justice Is Beloved Community gathering was a joyful, multi-sensory day rooted in care, creativity, and collective liberation—and it’s the spirit we’re carrying forward into our 3rd annual event.

In 2025, the gathering brought together disabled artists, organizers, healers, and community members for a full day of connection and nourishment. The program included shared meals from Palestinian Cuban fusion chefs, tattooing, bodywork, live performance, film screenings (including Muhi: Generally Temporary), art installations, vending, music, spoken word, and open community exchange. It was a space to rest, witness, make art, tend to our bodies, and be together—without rushing or proving anything.

This year’s event will feature similar programming and energy, with new and returning collaborators, and will once again be hybrid—both in person and on Zoom—so our community can gather across distance, access needs, and capacity.
