Disability Culture is Here

Disability Culture is Here: Virtual Talent Showcase, Panel, and Community Dance Party. Featuring Claudia Alick, Daisy Washington, Antoine Hunter, Lotus Boy, and Gaelyn Lea

The San Francisco Disability Cultural Center’s launch event, Disability Culture is Here, will be a genre-bending showcase of performances that celebrate the beauty, creativity, and joy of disability culture.

Our lineup of disabled, mostly BIPOC, artists, musicians, poets, dancers, and writers channels the joy of disability culture while challenging perceptions. After the show, the performers will talk about their work and what disability culture means to them.

We will end the program with a community-wide dance party and fashion show. Whether your look is the coziest robe or you want to bust out your most couture gown, and whether you dance with your eyes or your whole body – we can’t wait to celebrate all the fierce beauty, fabulous style, and wonderful humans in this community.

Deaf Interpreters, live captioning, and live audio description provided. For other access needs/questions: [email protected].
