Digital Equity

Western Arts Alliance Annual (hybrid) conference

Digital Equity panel featuring Claudia Alick

Almost overnight, the pandemic accelerated a shift to creating, collaborating, and presenting online. Given the ongoing issues of the pandemic and climate change, this trend is not going away. The barriers of white supremacy culture, inaccessibility, and exclusionary policies are as insidious in the digital space as they are in our towns and cities. As the performing arts explore this new form, how do we build digital equity? What do we as artists, agents, producers, and presenters need to know as we plan our own excursions into digital spaces? Are there works, models, or strategies from the last 18 months that suggest a way forward?

Pre-recorded panel (via Zoom) and a live Q&A
