For the disabled body being sexy can be an act of revolution. Calling Up Justice believes that disabled people are full human beings. That means we support the artistic production of erotic work—including poetry, film, performance, and visual art—created by disabled artists.
Too often, disabled people are dehumanized by a society that imagines us as sexless, undesirable, or incapable of intimacy, desire, and pleasure. We reject those narratives. Supporting disabled artists who explore sexuality and eroticism is an act of cultural resistance. It affirms that disabled people have the same right to desire, self-expression, beauty, pleasure, and artistic freedom as anyone else.
Our commitment is also informed by disability justice. One of the principles articulated by Sins Invalid is recognizing the wholeness of disabled people—that disabled people are complete human beings with complex emotional, creative, political, and sexual lives. Sins Invalid has long challenged the desexualization of disabled people while creating space for disability-centered beauty, eroticism, and liberation.

About the BLUSH San Francisco PornFilmFestival
The BLUSH San Francisco PornFilmFestival is a multi-generational celebration of the history of adult filmmaking while looking toward the innovations of today’s artists who are expanding the possibilities of sexual cinema. The festival is an accessible, hybrid event, with screenings and filmmaker talks presented both in person and online through PinkLabel.TV.
The 2026 festival takes place Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, at the Roxie and Little Roxie theaters in San Francisco, featuring workshops, artist talks, and short film screenings. Online streaming will be available August 2–16, 2026.
