Artist Statement: Small Town Stormtroopers was created by Claudia lick. She was inspired by fascists imagery and beautiful things she pulled from growing up in a predominantly white small town. Many people have an idolized vision of police in their communities. This is satirical and meant to conjure the ridiculous. We laugh to keep from crying.

Process Statement: Claudia Alick thought it would be interesting and possible amusing if she could see a dream of stormtroopers dancing and shopping and fishing and doing idyllical hometown activities. She fed a variety of promtops into dream woomba using a variety of filters. She found sound of actual police officers making an advertisement for their work. She pitch shifted the voices to give it more of a Stormtrooper vibe. Claudia has no future plans for this project.
