Our Annual Accessible Virtual Pride was born from our disabled queer community members not being included in local in-person prides. Whether that was due to the lack of covid precautions or inaccessible venues, many events let go of their accessible initiatives. We listened to our community members and decided to work together to put together this event. It has been a resounding success with many saying this was the first pride they were ever able to attend!
July 4 – 5, 2026

Join us for our Fourth Annual Accessible Virtual Pride produced with and for our disabled community and our LGBTQIA2s+ community, with allies welcome. As an organizing strategy this event collaborates with different pride celebrations across the country to help them increase their accessibility and livestream their events throughout the year. July 4 was the best weekend to produce this event because it’s Disability Pride month and also gives us the opportunity to celebrate US instead of the U.S. The people make places great.

Accessible Virtual Pride uses our Stone Soup producing model, centering Crip Time and tech systems that support open-space design. This approach allows us to quickly produce work with minimal resources, responding rapidly to needs. The concept of “many hands make light work” is key—when we have enough people to share responsibilities, we build resilience. Everyone is invited to participate and contribute to the event’s content and structure. People contribute what they can, whether as donors or by offering their skills, and the events remain free for all to attend.
