I flew to Ashland Oregon for project and was so honored and pleased to work on acknowledging and dismantling White Supremacy with people of faith. Designing and facilitating our Developing Equity workshop with Rogue Valley Interfaith coalition was such a pleasure! The room had Christians of several denominations, Jewish, Catholic, pantheist, Buddhist, and folks from many different faiths. I loved the diversity of belief and what brought them together. It was open to public so a few participants had never encountered this group before. We reviewed vocabulary and concepts, exchanged blessings, talked about real problems and practiced solving them. The performance of faith is one I am deeply fascinated by and I’m so pleased I could collaborate with this great group so successfully. Is this the way we change the world? One room of local organizers at a time?
