2024 Support Maiamama Calling Up Justice

I am dedicated to ending genocide and promoting global peace through innovative virtual activism. As part of my efforts, I run digital broadcast systems for university classes, virtual events, and other disability education programming. I have designed digital spaces in hopin.to, Oh Yay and am currently managing three GatherTown’s. Gather Town is a web conferencing tool that mimics real-life interactions in virtual “rooms,” allowing participants to move around and interact, fostering accessibility, community, and engagement.

My work involves countless hours of dedication, creativity, and expertise. However, to continue making a significant impact, I need financial support. This is where I humbly ask for your help. By contributing just $25 a month – which is only $0.86 a day –, you can directly support my efforts to bring awareness and action against genocide. If $25 is too much, even a one-time donation of $20 would be amazing.

For less than a dollar a day, together we can make a tangible difference.

Here’s a glimpse into my work:

Educational Video Games: I develop video games that educate players about racism, particularly within the medical industrial complex, making complex issues more understandable and engaging.

Virtual Event Producing: I design and build assets to create impactful, inclusive spaces for activism. Examples of this are Virtual Pride, Virtual Protests, and Dis/Rep

Content Creation and Media Analysis:  I design and build assets, and I podcast about Star Trek on Trek Table and Trek Talk, discussing how different forms of media depict oppression, liberation, heroism, and freedom.

Afrofuturism Visual Novel: Currently, I am working on a visual novel within the Afrofuturism genre, blending storytelling with social commentary to inspire change. This requires writing, graphic design, and coding.

Teaching: Rapid Response Tech Team, OBS Basics, Transmedia Storytelling and Video-Game Making Workshops

Access Services: Audiobooks, visual descriptions for spaces and websites

Your contributions will help me continue to create and manage virtual protest spaces, produce meaningful events, and ensure that our voices are heard in the fight against injustice. Every dollar counts, and your support means the world to me and to those we aim to protect and empower.

Thank you for considering this request. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a world free from genocide.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

Maia Mills-Low aka Maiamama
